Sources close to the player told this reporter that the deal was organized by Cranes goal keeper Dennis Onyango who plys his trade with Mamelodi Sundowns.

This is not the first time the player is undergoing trials with foreign clubs.

In 2007, he had trials with a Danish club but failed to impress.

In 2008 he went to Tanzania and was signed by Tanzania club African Leon on record fee of Shs100m.

He played for the club for only one season before joining CECAFA champions Young Africans. Last year he returned home and signed for URA FC.

Ssentongo was the Bell Super League top scorer last season.

If the deal goes through the pocket size player will join other Ugandans who have played for South African clubs.

The Uganda players who have played in PSL are David Obua (Kaiser chiefs), Brian Omonyi and Dennis Onyango( Super sport), Posnet Omony (Black leopards) Geofrey Serunkuma( Vasco da Gama) and Timothy Batabaire(Wits University)
