The program has been funded by government of Uganda as works were undertaken by National Water and Sewerage Corporation.

Museveni stunned the residents when he entered the rally venue running.

He said that for the last 20 years, he had been asking civil servants in the agriculture sector to put in use the knowledge he gives them, to get people out of poverty, but to date they had nothing much to show.

He noted that his initial programs entadikwa and NAADs had been ruined by thieving civil servants, which is why he introduced the national army to take over.

The army, he said, was doing a commendable job especially in the Luweero triangle in central Uganda,

I am not a poor man. That’s why I hate to see people reeling in poverty. I would like to see everyone with a sizable income generating activity,” he added.

David Bahati the NRM deputy chief whip and Ndorwa west MP said that the water project would go a long way in supporting the people in the constituency.

The big scar in his face, Bahati said he had gotten in childhood, while he run downhill to fetch water, falling and hitting his head on a rock.
