Sources in police have told this investigative website that Sempeke was among the suspected criminals who have been killing Kampala residents with iron bars.

According to eyewitnesses, a team of 12 gun toting men surrounded Sempeke’s house while two members of the force stormed the house in what appeared as a rehearsed operation.

Sempeke, a taxi driver in Kampala, was found naked, lying in his bed. The gunmen then grabbed and dumped him on a waiting truck before driving off.

A father of three, Sempeke is now detained at an unknown place.

Kampala Metropolitan Police publicist Ibin Ssenkumbi was not readily available for comment. But impeccable sources said Sempeke was arrested by the new FLY SQUAD, a team formed to crack down on iron bar hit men in and around Kampala.
