A unique communication highway has also been established with a combination of advanced social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and You tube.

Kayihura says the UPF will listen and respond to the needs of the people and that people should start interacting with police because this has been set up for purposes of dialogue.

He adds that many people abuse him but this website will not follow up those who criticize Police so people should not fear commenting on various issues.

The IGP is conscious of fulfilling his duty to provide a professional, transparent and accountable police force.

The new website highlights easily accessible versions of annual crime reports and periodical issues of the UPF magazine, MWANGAZA which means to show light or enlighten.
