Speaker Rebecca Kadaga hailed Oromait for being hardworking and a nationalist.
The Cortege will be transported to his residence in Jinja on Monday evening where a vigil will be held.
A requiem service will be held in Jinja on Tuesday 24th July 2012 at 10:00 a.m. after which the cortege will be transported to Soroti at 1:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Soroti at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday 25th July, after which the body will be transported to Aparisa Parish, Usuk County, for burial on Thursday 26th July 2012.
The late Hon. Michael Oromait was serving his first term in Parliament having joined the House on the independent ticket in May 2011.
He served in the Uganda Police Force before joining Uganda Posts and Telecommunications.
