It is one the tournament the tax collectors’ coach Alex Isabirye will also use to test his new boys ahead of the 2012/13 season.

URA on Friday announced they had signed former Vietnam-based midfielder Owen Kasule on a two-year deal.

Kasule joins Erisa Ssekisambu, Yayo Lutimba (all Express), free agents Elukana Nkugwa (SC Villa) and Yasin Mugabi (Proline) who have already agreed terms with the club.

Full squad:

Goal keepers: Allan Owiny, Yasin Mugabi, Brian Bwete.

Defenders: Simon Masaba, Sam Mubiru, Sam Ssenkomi, Allan Munaba, Derrick Walulya, Musa Doka

Midfielders: Owen Kasule, Oscar Agaba, Augustine Nsumba, Yayo Lutimba, Erukana Nkugwa, Feni Ali Moses, Osama Farouk and Said Kyeyune.

Forwards: Robert Ssentongo and Erisha Ssekisambu and Sula Bagala

URA lost the Bell Super League title to Express and the club management is keen to wrestle it back next season.

The tax body’s last appearance at the Cecafa was a forgettable group stage exit in 2010 and they will hope to do better when they open against Tanzania’s Simba on July 16.

Cecafa officially kicks off on July 14.
