The same group a few months ago threatened to capture Special Forces Group (SFG) commander Col. Keinerugaba Muhoozi who is on strategic military course in South Africa and “discipline” him.

Dominated by fanatical Baganda, DMMGR now accuses Muhoozi of holding meetings at Franklin 4 Building in South Africa aimed at hunting down members of opposition in Diaspora.

“We greatly condemn the evil attacks of Uganda’s government against opposition activists living in South Africa. We have gathered enough evidence to hold Uganda government accountable of premeditated attempt to assassinate one of our political activities,” the group leader Joseph Kizito said in a press statement on Sunday night.

“We also have information that the Ugandan government is planning to assassinate most of the opposition activists living in South Africa.”

Efforts to reach Lt. Col. Felix Kulayigye for comment were futile as he was not picking telephone calls.

Kulayigye has, however, told in several interviews that UPDF is a professional people’s army which cherishes civil liberties and has never harassed opposition politicians.

Nevertheless, Kizito says unidentified assailants on April 14 stormed a one Major Bogere Abdullah’s home to take his life.

“The trembling wife, with the gun tightly placed on her head and her child abusively in the arms of one of the hit-men, sobbed in fear as she did not know the whereabouts of her husband. The wife screamed in fear and shock, which alarmed the public forcing the hired goons to run away,” said Kizito.

This news website could not independently verify these claims.

Kizito says the awful incident occurred around 7pm when Major Bogere was on his way back home from a political debate in Johannesburg.

A case was opened in the South African Police under file number 327/04/2012.

SA police is yet to hold suspects but four men are reportedly being investigated over the incident.

“As DMMGR, the enforcer of or federal revolution for Uganda, we condemn these acts of cowardliness and terror,” said Kizito.
