The President was meeting the Kuwaiti Parliamentary Speaker, Ahmed al Sadoon and his delegation who called on him Tuesday at State House, Entebbe.

Museveni warmly welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation to Uganda and informed them that Uganda has always enjoyed close relationship with the countries of the Arab world adding that this should continue.

Speaker al Sadoon saluted Museveni and the Government of Uganda for the warm reception extended to him and his delegation since their arrival in the country to attend the 126th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly that was opened by the President last Saturday at the Commonwealth Resort Hotel in Munyonyo.

The one-week long Assembly is slated to end tomorrow Thursday 5th April at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

Museveni and the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Peter Skipper, deliberated on number bilateral issues between Australia and Uganda. Skipper praised Museveni for hosting him and his delegation.

Later, the Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of South Sudan James Wani Igga, who was accompanied by several MPs, discussed with the President a wide range of regional issues especially political, social and economic developments.

The meetings were attended by the Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Jacob Oulanya.
