Speaker Saad al Katatni assured President Museveni that as the people of Egypt rebuild their country and write a new national constitution, all Egyptians will be able to enjoy equal rights in all spheres of life.

Receiving Rt. Hon. Mohammed Ahmed Almurr, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates and his delegation, the President said he is looking forward to cementing relations between Uganda and UAE.

He extended an invitation to UAE entrepreneurs to come to Uganda and explorer the immense potential of business opportunities that is still abundant in the country especially in the agricultural sector.

Speaker Mohammed Ahmed Almurr congratulated President upon the impressive achievements Uganda has been able to register under the NRM Government.

He urged Ugandans to always endeavour and participate in numerous entrepreneurial fares that take place in his country especially in promoting tourism and commerce.

Museveni told Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, leader of the delegation of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, that Uganda welcomes entrepreneurs from Sri Lanka, especially those dealing in the textile industry, tea processing and value addition.

Nimal Siripala de Silva, who is also Sri lanka Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management, handed to President Museveni a special message from President Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka.

Later, the President received Mrs. Hong Son Ok, Vice Chairwoman of the Supreme Assembly of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. He commended the people of North Korea for maintaining stability in their country.

Museveni once again expressed his deep sympathy to the people of North Korea over the death of their leader last year.

He said that Uganda is committed to the already existing strong relations between the two countries.
