The move briefly inconvenienced passengers due to the scarcity of taxis before Pioneer buses came to their rescue.

The Taxi drivers have vowed to pay only Shs70,000 which KCCA has rejected.

However, observers say the buses do not carry number plates, arguing it would pose difficulty in identifying them in case of road accidents.

A one Robert who travelled in one of the new buses says it is comfortable and speedy though it lacks an air conditioning system.
