40 Year old Kills Brother over Potatoes

Centenary Bank staff have today donated Shs7 million towards the organization of the End of year party and purchase of food items like rice, dosage http://csautomation.net/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-shipping.php maize flour, generic beans, viagra 40mg sugar, among others to Mapeera Bakateyamba Home in Nalukolongo, on the outskirts of Kampala.

This was part of the staff annual outreach activities through the Uganda Martyrs Mapeera Chaplaincy which is usually done during Easter and Christmas season as a way of giving back to the less privileged.

While handing over the donation to the administrator of the Home, Sister Teresa Avira and the Management Committee Head, Mr Deo Kasozi, Mr. Fabian Kasi, the Bank’s Managing Director, commended the management team for their efforts in looking after these people.

“The contribution that the bank staff have made today will help boost efforts in welfare for the management of the less privileged. Consequently, it contributes to the Home’s humane mission in the service of its members and provides rehabilitation support,” said Mr Kasi.

Sister Teresa Avira the thanked Centenary Bank for its support to similar societies and organizations, which assist a wide segment of needy people in Uganda.

The Mapeera Bakateyamba Home, founded by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga in 1978, is run by the Good Samaritan Sisters under the patronage of Kampala Catholic archdiocese. It provides full-time accommodation to more than 100 disabled, elderly, destitute and vulnerable persons.

The main celebrant, His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala, commended Centenary Bank for the spirit.

“We are very appreciative of your gesture during this festive period which is about love and sharing and it has come at a time when the Church is rooting for those attributes,” said Cardinal Wamala.

Earlier, Centenary Bank staff donated items in form of food, mosquito nets, blankets, etc to children in Naguru Remand Home, Missionaries of the Poor and to Sanyu Babies Home.

The bank is also supporting the fight against cancer through activities like the recent  Cancer Run that was geared at raising shs300 million for completion of  the Cancer Ward at Nsambya Hospital and a number of education initiatives.

Police in Kabale are holding a 40 year old man for allegedly murdering his elder brother.

The suspect identified as Wilson Beyanga, viagra http://comerydivertirse.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy.php a resident of Nyakihanda Cell, Kahungye parish in Butanda Sub County is alleged to have fought with his brother, Frank Magambo, also a resident in the same area on New Year’s Day accusing him of stealing their mother’s Irish potatoes from the house.
After the fight, Magambo was rushed to Rubaya Health Center IV in a critical condition and he died in the evening hours of January 3rd this year (Saturday).

After realizing that his brother had died, the suspect reported himself to Rubaya Police Post where he was detained before being transferred to Kabale Central Police Station.

Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate confirmed the incident calling it unfortunate. Maate also said people should never take the law into their own hands but seek services of relevant authorities to settle their grievances.

He added that once investigations were complete, the suspect will be arraigned in courts of law and charged accordingly.
