Kulayigye tells our news desk in an interview, the AU mandate enabled UPDF to carry out decisive attacks against Al Shabaab in their hide outs thus sending them into disarray.

He also hails President Yoweri Museveni for regularly visiting the AMISOM troops in Somalia which boosted their morale in defeating the terrorists.
The development marks a new dawn for UPDF troops in restoring peace in the war-torn country.
The capture of Mogadishu is a victory for the people of Somalia and a huge blow for the insurgents’ rebellion.
With Mogadishu in the hands of UPDF, liberation of other small towns is likely to last a few weeks, according to military officials.
The Al Shabaab have been relying heavily on propaganda, guerilla tactics, terrorism, kidnaps and instilling fear in the peope of Somalia in orchestrating a reign of terror.
