WEDNESDAY: 12:24pm It’s now official Kabakumba Masiko will a few minutes from now officially resign her position as Minister for Presidency. She is expected to give a formal statement at 12:30pm today Wednesday.

TUESDAY: 12:01PM: Latest reports indicate Presidency Minister Kabakumba Masiko has resigned.

Rumours indicate Kabakumba handed in her resignation letter to the appointing authority today morning. This followed a public pronouncement by NRM caucus sitting last night they wanted her to quit over allegations of stealing UBC equipment for her private radio in Masindi district.

Kabakumba is yet to issue a statement over the matter.

Kabakumba now joins the likes of Ministers Sam Kutesa, Mwesiga Rukutana and John Nasasira who voluntarily stepped aside a few months ago to allow investigations into the loss of millions of shillings during preparations for the Common Wealth Meeting in Kampala in 2007.

The news of her resignation have been received with excitement among social networkers. Hundreds are celebrating the fall of the princess from Masindi.
