However, the set deadline date has passed unnoticed as the alliance is stilling entangled in efforts to select a single candidate for next year’s elections.

FDC party president, Gen. Mugisha Muntu has assured journalists at the party headquarters in Kampala that the alliance will embark on the demands for free and fair elections after choosing a flag bearer.

“We are still occupied with the issue of coming out with a winning formula which has literary taken all our time,but immediately we resolve that, we shall go back to that struggle,” Muntu responded to media questions.

The FDC boss called upon all the opposition supporters to be patient and calm trusting their leaders to soon wade through all the turbulence that has engulfed the coalition for the last weeks.

“We understand the anxiety that has been happening in the country but we would like appeal to all who want to see this dictatorship ousted to remain focused

“We are still focused on ousting the currently government as the main objective and we are still discussing a winning formula that will enable us achieve that. The discussions have taken longer than we expected but the biggest issue is that we succeed.”

Muntu assured the public that all indications within TDA show that they are getting closer to coming up with a winning formula and as well a single candidate.

 
A whooping 34 goals ushered in the second edition of the Fufa Junior League that started on Saturday. All sixteen turned out with several good performances registered.

SC Villa Jogoo JT registered 3-0 over Simba in Bombo while Police Armless Brigade inflicted a 3-1 loss to Lweza Orange brigade. Sadolin Paints Fc JT were held at home by Soana JT in a four goal thriller.

The sixteen teams are divided into two groups; Trebble and Hattrick where the teams play each other in a round robin format. A team earns an extra point for scoring more than two goals.
