FDC Treason Suspects Remanded Again, Kayihura Warned


Nakawa High Court judge Charles Sserubuga has ruled that Kayihura should stop claiming to possess ample evidence that FDC activists planned to overthrow government.

This followed a petition by the activists’ lawyers David Mpanga and Medard Ssegona in which they argued that Kayihura’s statements were prejuducial to the matter before court.

Kayihura told a presss conference last month that Ingrid Turinawe, recipe link Sam Mugumya and Francis Mwijukye planned riots around the country with the view of overthrowing the legitimately elected government of President Yoweri Museveni.

The suspects were not granted bail but furher remanded after prosecution said investigations into the matter were still ongoing.
