Bakandonda says Anywar was involved in a fatal road accident Kakungulu, just a few kilomteres away from her home, as she drove to Kampala.
“Anywar was driving. We don’t know how the accident happened because she was not overspeeding,” Bakandonda explains.
“The car overturned twice. It was badly damaged, you can believe that some one escaped alive,” Bakandonda adds.
“Anywar had two children in the car. They were not injured,” he says, adding, “but our MP sustained bruises on her arms and face.”
He adds that Anywar, well known as ‘Mama Mabira’ for her spirited activism against the sale of part of Mabira forest for sugarcane growing as proposed by President Yoweri Museveni, developed huge chest pains.
“X-ray results at Case Clinic show that Anywar had no broken bones as we feared. We have now transfered her to Kampala Hospital for chest check up. We call upon our supporters to pray for her quick recovery,” Bakandonda urges.
