MP Theodore Ssekikuubo tells Chimpreports.com that he will today afternoon move a motion to have the pair removed out of office forcefully.

He says this is in reaction to the President’s refusal to suspend the two officials in compliance with a Parliamentary resolution passed a fortnight ago.
“All the resolutions we passed, story including setting up a committee to investigate allegations of corruption in the oil sector have been respected. Why is that these ministers are disrespecting the House?” Ssekikuubo asked.
Ssekikuubo, Western MP Gerald Karuhanga among other independent-minded NRM legislators met Speaker Rebecca Kadaga on October 26 to tender in their motion seeking the suspension of the ministers accused of accepting bribes from Tullow and Eni oil companies.
During the meeting, Kadaga reportedly advised the legislators to be patient pending the full institution of an adhoc committee to investigate the matter. Kadaga said she had communicated to President Yoweri Museveni to suspend the ministers in vain.
The Committee started work yesterday, giving Ssekikuubo and his colleagues grounds to take action in Parliament.
“I am telling you that we shall today invoke the Parliamentary Rules of Procedure to ensure these stubborn suspects (Amama and Onek) are immediately removed from the House.
Mbabazi says he won’t step down while Onek insists President Museveni has rejected his resignation letter. Plenary session opens at 2:30pm.
