Ugandan Makes It to Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame


story geneva;”>The Ugandan boxer who was the Light Welterweight division and the former WBC Super Featherweight Champion was announced in a lineup of 18 honorees, cure to the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame second class of inductees.

The 18 inductees come from 10 categories, two of which are new: Adoptive Residents (for boxers who moved to and resided in Nevada after their careers), and Pioneer Class (for those who prominently contributed to Nevada Boxing before1960.

Edwards who was born on 27 May 1956 in Kampala, Uganda emigrated to England, where he lived for many years and currently lives in the United States, where he trains other boxers.

The Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame honors boxers and those in the industry who have significantly contributed to the state of Nevada, and donates proceeds toward Nevada-based/boxing-related charities and causes.
