Ms Enrica Pinetti informed President Museveni that they are set to establish the company at Namanve Industrial Park in Mukono district. The company will undertake the roasting, manufacturing and packing of instant coffee for export and for domestic consumption within Uganda.
The delegation exhibited their seriousness before President Museveni, by roasting coffee seeds using a mini roaster. The President tasted the different delicious samples that he liked a great deal.
“I have spent a very long time trying to get somebody to add value to our coffee. Uganda has been a donor by exporting raw coffee”, he remarked while tasting the instant coffee made on the spot by members of the visiting delegation.
President Museveni warmly welcomed the investors to Uganda and pledged to provide them will all the necessary assistance to ensure that the project takes off soon.
