Unconfirmed reports indicate Ssengondo succumbed to cardiac arrest as he played tennis today.
A post-mortem is expected to shed more light on the cause of the death.
Kawempe North Constituency MP, Latif Ssebaggala Sengendo described the death as “saddening” and “hard to take.”
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the loss of my son,” said the lawmaker.
“I offer my deepest condolences to the whole family and pray to Allah to give me strength to cope up with the loss and to able to pass through this difficult time,” the MP further mourned his nephew’s departure.
A family friend, Pauline Mayanja had this to say: “I am still in shock right now, out of words…(mum just told me) your gone to soon my brother Umaru. This is bad news to start the week. It’s hard for me to take it in.”
She added: “I am just asking myself what killed you so first and what happened? Still cannot believe my friend. May your soul rest in peace, brother.”
Condolences continue to pour in from friends and relatives to comfort the bereaved family.
