The 28-year old who has been training in Belgium will be leading a team of three players with two coaches.
The Ugandan super star has also featured in many international tournaments were he has performed well.
Other players on the team include; Ian Rukunya who is undergoing an intensive training in Kenya and Derrick Banyu training at Kampala club.
The team will have a full week of training in Glascow before its opening game against Belgium.
Kawooya has however expressed confidence and promised Ugandans a gold medal given the several tactics that he has attained during his preparations.
This was during a function in which he was announced the team captain.
Squash is part of the 64 athletes which the National Council of Sports allocated slots to represent the country.
