However, the list of athletes sent by Uganda Olympics Committee did not contain Kipsiro’s bio data.
The Uganda Athletics Federation General Secretary Beatrice Ayikoru said the defending champion “can’t miss out on basing on such a simple issue.”
“Moses is in UK but we are trying to work on his biometric data from where he is and actually there is still time for him so he won’t be able to fail to participate because of such a minor incident,” added Ayikoru.
Despite being the defending champion, Kipsiro’s performance hasn’t been impressing this year. It remains to be seen if he will roll up his sleeves.
According to sources, “Kipsiro wouldn’t have been added on team travelling to Scotland but by virtue of being the defending champion he automatically qualified.”
Meanwhile, the 18-man team has been divided into two groups with one training from Namboole and another at High Altitude Center in Bukwo.
