However, when chimpreports contacted the SFC spokesperson, Maj Chris Magezi noted that Ongom is detained under custody for conniving with other two SFC officers who declined to mention and conned a Hangarian national of $26,000 after impersonating as employees from the National Medical stores.

The Hangarian national was offered a deal to supply medicine and they agreed that he was to pay them a commission of $26,000 and this would be paid before the signing of the supply agreement,” Magezi told chimpcorp.

He agreed since the supply was bounty and accepted to pay them within installments, however after sometime he realised that he was dealing with wrongs people and alerted the authorities.”

Magezi noted that the command swung into action, arrested the three and made thorough investigations that implicate them.

The SFC spokesperson rubbished claims that Odongo was mistreated and torched within custody saying, “We have never torched him and we don’t torture people; Ondogo is now being misled seeking to avert justice but we are not intimidated, justice has to take its coarse.”

He added that according to experts who are undertaking treatment, Odongo’s condition doesn’t call for a referral to Bombo Military Hospital as he had requested for reasons known to himself.
