The UPDF/ Defence Deputy spokesperson, Maj Henry Obbo has revealed that the suspected killer and his accomplices have already been arrested and investigations into the case are underway.

He added that the UPDF institution believes in protection of people’s rights and highly values its good relationship with the civilian population.

“Any individual within its ranks who undermines this relationship, in anyway, is liable to punitive measures, as prescribed by the UPDF Act and any other laws in the Country.”

Obbo reiterated that UPDF remains committed to ensuring fulfillment of the Defence objective that guarantees continuation and strengthening of the Defense forces that has respect for Human Rights, and ensures the rule of law.

“We pray for the deceased’s soul to rest in eternal peace, and convey our sincere sympathies to the bereaved family. We pledge to do all that is necessary to ensure Justice is delivered within the shortest possible time,” said Obbo.
