In his remarks, the minister underlined the importance of ‘Ndi Umunyarwanda’ program in the society and the fundamental role of scouting in the development of the country which helps young people to be responsible citizens and generate innovative ideas.

Fidel Gakuba, the President of the Scout Association in Rwanda, stressed how their association helps their members through trainings where youth get skills in carpentry, welding, plumbing and tailoring to be able to generate revenues and reiterate their role on shaping their own future.

Delegates from all corners of the country gathered for three days to receive, they shared what they achieved and hold Ndi Umunyarwanda dialogue session on their in building the country as young people.

The Scout Association of Rwanda is the national scouting organization of Rwanda. Scouting in Rwanda was founded in 1940 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout (WOSM) in 1975. The association has more than 20,000 members across Rwanda.
