In a TV interview on Friday night, Vera said that her body is her business and she has to make it look better at all costs.

“Looking good is my business. My body is my business, nobody else’s but mine. In fact, I already see an increase in my service demand,” Vera said.

Vera is a big socialite in Kenya

The response on Kenyan social media was not friendly at all as most people called bleaching a fake and disgusting act. Some even took to twitter saying that it is an insult to the black African beauty.

Bleaching in Kenya just like in Uganda is done behind closed doors. The people who do it attract a lot of ridicule and criticism from the people.

Some people however, praised Vera for her courage to speak honestly about the much hated practice.
