Witnesses disclosed that they heard about five rounds of gunfire from the deceased’s home on the fateful night.
Gulu District Police Commander, Dennis Odoch noted that Rackala, who was found with bullet wounds on the chest, was rushed to Gulu Independence Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Odoch revealed that five bullet cartridges were recovered from the crime scene and that the gun used in the murder is believed to be an AK-47.
Reports also say, the deceased has been involved in a court case which recently resulted into the arrest of a one, Ocen who later escaped and is believed to be hiding in South Sudan.
Odoch further says, Ocen and his family in South Sudan have recently been reported to be sending messages to Rackala, threatening him with death and that Police is also is following the matter closely.
