Nigerian Woman Arrested in Kampala over Drugs

“We are going to forward the drugs to the government chemist in Wandegeya to ascertain whether they are actually contraband; if they are, she will be charged with possession of illegal drugs,” said Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson.

Zubeda confessed to the crime and revealed that she has been in the illegal business for over 7 years and that her clients are mainly area youths, prostitutes and Indians.

The suspect is currently being detained at Kabalagala Police Station.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Police last Friday arrested 40 suspected criminals in areas of Ggaba, Bunga, Kansanga, Kabalagala and Nsambya.

ccording to Francis Chemusto, the D.P.C Kabalagala; the arrested were found abusing drugs and alcohol and engaging in prostitution.

Chemusto says the suspects will be screened before being paraded in court.
