Kato overpowered Rosemary and locked her in the house together with their two-year old child and proceeded to Kitagazi Trading Centre where he bought petrol and spilled it on the house before setting it ablaze.

Phillip Mukasa, the Regional Police spokesperson says Kato is currently being detained at Mubende Police Station and that he will first be taken for mental examination, before interrogations start.
