Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango says Kawooya had threatened to ‘deal with’ Ssebaggala, saying the police contact was attracted to his wife.

Chimpreports understands that Ssebaggala had provided police with information about Kawooya’s litany of crimes in Kampala, leading to the latter’s arrest and detention.

Onyango said after being sent to jail, Kawooya swore to harm Ssebaggala.

“He is our main suspect in this murder. As soon as we are ready with the file, Kawooya will face the wrath of the law,” Onyango told journalists in Kampala during the weekend.

Ssebaggala was in May shot dead in Lungujja, Nateete, Wakiso District as he returned home.

He was an informer for Operation Wembley an anti-crime security organ established to crack down on armed criminal gangs.

Wembley was later restructured and transformed into the Violent Crime Crack Unit (VCCU).
