Chimpreports understands the organising committee of Kutesa’s welcome is chaired by his personal assistant, David Kabanda.

According to the temporary programme which this website has seen, the youth will gather at Kampala Serena Hotel on Monday after which they will proceed to Entebbe International Airport.

“We shall be using about 100 boda bodas and 20 large vehicles for our convoy,” said a source who is part of the organising committee.

The Minister is expected to arrive at the airport at 1:00pm aboard Kenya Airways.

Kutesa was this week elected by acclamation as President of UN’s upcoming 69th session.

This position is voted for by representatives in the UNGA on a yearly basis.

Taking the floor immediately on Wednesday night after his election, Mr. Kutesa, said that, “our world continues to be confronted with different challenges of global reach and impact,” including poverty and hunger; unemployment; myriad impacts of climate change; armed conflicts; and emerging security threats such as transnational organized crime, terrorism, piracy and human trafficking.

“Collectively, we must continue to take concerted action to address these challenges. This is what has made the United Nations a strong, unique and indispensable organization,” he said, proposing that theme of the 69th session would be: “Delivering on and implementing a Transformative Post-2015 Development Agenda.”

This week, Kutesa held talks with US Secretary of State, John Kerry on several issues including the hunt for LRA warlord, Joseph Kony.
