Museveni Preaches Unity at Bisaka Birthday

Mr. Museveni made the call Wednesday in Kagadi, Kibaale District during celebrations marking elder Bisaka’s 85th birthday and the commissioning of his house as the leader of the Faith of Unity. The congregation comprised of thousands of bare foot members dressed in white tunics.

He congratulated elder Bisaka upon his birthday and thanked the followers for building a modern house for elder Bisaka which came shortly after the completion of the place of sacrifice (Itambiro) in Kagadi.

He noted that the achievements recorded by the believers are a demonstration of their unity. He urged the followers to continue with their spirit of unity which, he said, would enable them to achieve their development goals.

Regarding development, the President said the construction of the Kigumba – Hoima – Kagadi – Kyenjojo road would soon commence because the Government has already fulfilled all the necessary preparations for the project.

Responding to the request of elder Bisaka to endorse his book that is called the The Book of God, President Museveni said he would read it and give his advice within two months. Elder Bisaka wishes the book to be used in schools.

The President made a donation of Shs. 40 million and handed over cash of Shs. 20 million to facilitate the celebrations of the elder’s birthday and commissioning of his house. He said that the remaining Shs. 20 million would be delivered later.

He toured an exhibition of some of the products made in the small scale industries operated by the followers. Among the products made are an assortment of herbal medicine, mosquito repellants, organic sugar and perfumes.

Earlier, President Museveni officially presented Elder Bisaka a Mitsubishi Pajero car which he donated to him earlier this year.


The State Minister of Finance, Mr. Matia Kasaija saluted President Museveni for the proposed construction of the Kyenjojo – Kagadi – Hoima road. He noted that route would strengthen the linkage of the sub region to the rest of the country.

The Woman MP for Kibaale District, Robinah Nabbanja, revealed that the people of Kibaale accepted the Kyankwanzi resolution to have President Museveni as the sole NRM Presidential candidate during the 2016 elections.

The leader of the Faith of Unity, Elder Bisaka saluted the President for commissioning his modern house that was erected from the contributions of the believers.

He was also grateful for the donation of a car.

He reported that the faith has 1,230 branches in Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), South Sudan, Tanzania and Kenya. He said that they have trained people in Uganda to be united as well as in neighbouring countries.
