Dubbed “Black and White Affair,” the show was aimed at raising funds for Ibanda Babies’ Home, an orphanage in western Uganda where Luzinda was born. Luzinda pulling off ‘Beyonce Strokes’on stage


With about 500 ordinary fans paying shs100, 000 each as entrance fees, Luzinda was able to mobilise over shs50m from gate collections to rebuild lives at the Ibanda orphanage.


More money was collected from the VIP wing where each of 50 tables fetched shs3m.

At least shs10m was raised from the sale of CDs.


Chimp Corps estimate that Luzinda mobilised approximately shs180m of which 25 percent will be handed to Ibanda babies’ home as a charity fund.


Graced by tycoons, politicians, Ministers and the cream of Kampala’s entertainers, the gig saw Goodlyfe crew members Radio and Weasel join Luzinda on stage to keep revellers amused.

The crowds kept cheering on “Uganda’s Beyonce” and “Madam Booty” in reference to her huge buttocks and curvy figure.


Some of notable guests included Prince David Wasajja, Nasser Ssebagala, Capt Mike Mukula, Godfrey Kirumira, Minister John Byabagambi and Maj Juma Seiko.


Luzinda praised Ugandans “for standing with me in this cause of supporting the vulnerable children at Ibanda Babies’ home.”

She applauded the crowd for supporting her music and pledged to roll out more exciting songs for all her fans.


The climax of the event was when Desire had a sensational dance with Ssebagala, her former boyfriend.
