It all started when Ronnie Kaggwa lured customers that his bar would be hosting upcoming star Gravity Omutujju over the weekend.
Apparently, he even went on to advertise the mega event, in which Gravity was meant to perform at the spot.
Revelers on the day parted with Shs 7000 and by nightfall, they were all seated and rubbing hands as they waited for the ‘Malangajja’ star.
The show kicked off with a series of karaoke performances which revelers cheered patiently as time crept on but there was no sign of their favourite artiste.
When it clocked 1:00am, they realized they had been duped before hell broke loose. They stated hurling bottles and other objects onto the stage, forcing the karaoke team to scamper for safety.
At this time, Manager Ronnie as he is commonly referred to by revellers, got trapped inside but later managed to sneak out before seeking refuge in his car.
The aftermath was a nasty scene of broken chairs, tables more bottles and a whole pile of debris.
Police later rushed to the scene thus arresting 10 suspects who are being held at Kanyaya Police station.
Chimpreports talked to manager Ronnie who intimated that it wasn’t his fault but Gravity’s.
“We agreed on a 600,000 deal and I gave him 300,000 cash. When time came I tried to reach him and his number was off,” the manager explained.
However the Malangajja singer who was on the defensive told Chimpreports that his phone’s battery had blacked out yet he didn’t know the location of the bar.
