2016/17 Beach Soccer League Off to a Good Start

53 goals were scored on Sunday.

Current champions Nkumba Select launched their title defense in style thrashing money spenders Dalumba International 8-3 on Sunday in the opening day of the 2016-17 beach soccer season at the sports beach in Entebbe.

Last season most valuable player Roch Somoka continued with his fine form setting the pace for the team with a hattrick to his account. David Awori and Emmanuel Wasswa had a brace each with Moses Aspa   completing the rout.

Derrick Kabega was the master in charge of the destruction with six goals to add on Cyrus Mukiibi     and Lutaaya Sula’s.

In the other game,  Mengo Hospital also got a rude welcome to the league receiving 7-2 thumping from Kayunga TC.
