Mukasa says the people of Busia need a leader that will build a strong relationship with them and steer them past difficulties of majorly poverty, http://covintec.cl/wp-includes/class-wp-string.php poor health and land grabbing.

“I see a number of gaps in the leadership of Busia Municipality, there is no effective representation of the people which has kept us in the shadows of development,” Mukasa told Chimpreports.

“We need a louder voice that can articulate issues; the incumbent, Kevinah Taaka Wanaha in her capacity has done her best but she can’t go beyond her potential; you can’t keep forcing a DMC car to take you an extra mile; that is how I see politics,” he told us.

Mukasa who is also a JEEMA member promised that when given the mandate, he will establish a strong relationship with voters, promote Justice, Rule of law and Citizen’s participation in governance.

He added that government programs in the municipality had been failed by current leadership, giving an example of the Youth Lively hood Fund which he says hasn’t benefited the youths in the area.

He also believes that being a Parliamentary Journalist; he possesses knowledge about Parliamentary proceedings and has been exposed by closely working with women, Youths and other groups.”

Mukasa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, attended Mawero Islamic School in Busia, Bishop willis P.S in Iganga, Busia High school, Busia Trust and Makerere secondary school for A’Level.

He is also an award winner of the Best Broadcast media Journalist Award for 2014 in the Tumain Awards program.
