Police’s Flying Squad together with officials from Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and Natural Resource Conservation Network (NRCN) yesterday arrested red handed two ivory traffickers who were found with20kg of chopped ivory.
The arrested are Ali Wausa 47, medical http://chernichovsky.com/wp-admin/includes/continents-cities.php a resident of Nambulagama in Butaleja district and Dickson Kwetesa 38 from Kyegegwa District.
These were found brokering the sale of chopped ivory pieces to the main buyer.
The two suspects are currently detained at Jinja Road police station waiting to appear in courts of law.
The arrested confessed to have been in business for many years. They were tricked by the officials into a hoax deal in Naguru where police cornered and arrested them.
