“Duhimbaze was competing for a girl with other men. Towards morning hours, the men started fighting for the girl,” said Maate, quoting police’s preliminary findings.
“At that moment, Duhimbaze was overpowered before being stabbed in the chest with a knife. He was then dragged to a garden behind the Hotel where his body was discovered on Saturday morning,” he added.
The deceased was born in Kanyamegeri, Chihe in Nyakinama Sub-County, Kisoro District.
Maate said police are investigating the incident with the view of bringing perpetrators to justice.
