Banyenzaki, Mwesigye Lock Horns In Kabale

visit this http://ctabuenosaires.org.ar/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/debug.php geneva;”>The cold war between former Agriculture Minister, viagra Hope Mwesigye and State Minister for Economic Monitoring Henry Banyenzaki has worsened with the Rubanda West legislator describing Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s sister-in-law a “saboteur.”

Banyenzaki said Mwesigye is determined to destroy the NRM right from the grassroots by disrupting party meetings and disorganising members.

“We have learnt of Mwesigye’s wide plans of mobilising some youth to disrupt party meetings in the Kigezi region especially Kabale district,” said Banyenzaki at a press conference in Kabale on Monday.

“Mwesigye wants to ensure NRM MPs sent to grassroots to popularise the Kyankwanzi resolution do not hold meetings with party members. In Kayunga district, Lands State Minister Aidah Nantaba survived lynching while promoting Museveni’s 2016 presidential bid. That’s what Mwesigye wants to see here,” charged Banyenzaki.

“We shall deal with her. We are ready not to allow her to destabilise the party meetings,” the Minister charged.

He further revealed that Mwesigye recently tried to “confuse some NRM sub-county chairpersons by wooing them in her group but they later discovered she was trying to fight the party to serve her own political ambitions. So they have since quit the group which was led by a one Robert Matsiko Mwesigye.”

The former Kabale MP was not readily available for comment.

However, Banyenzaki’s remarks come just a few weeks after Mwesigye mobilised Kabale party officials to reject the idea of Museveni’s sole candidature in 2016.

Mwesigye anger

Mwesigye, who is considered the leader of the Premier’s underground mobilisers, recently blasted President Museveni for “presenting himself as the sole candidate in 2016 because it is unlawful and will disintegrate the party.”

Speaking to journalists in Kabale recently, Mwesigye said the ruling NRM caucus’ resolution in Kyankwanzi to front Museveni for 2016 was “beyond their (MPs) powers.”

She added: “The NRM Parliamentary caucus’ so-called resolution to consider ‘Mr. Museveni’ as the sole candidate was unlawful because their mandate was to consider what is before Parliament which they did not do.”

On Mbabazi contesting for presidency in the 2016 general elections, Mwesigye observed: “Contesting is a personal matter and if he wants to contest he will contest for the presidency and people will decide and should not be blocked by anyone.”

Mbabazi has consistently denied reports he intends to stand for President in 2016 but Museveni’s strategists believe the premier means the opposite.

Banyenzaki said Mwesigye “is the source of all these troubles in NRM. He keeps misleading Mbabazi all the time.”In Kabale district, the NRM grassroot meetings kicked off on Tuesday.

By 3:00pm, only three members of the ruling party had appeared.

They include NRM Deputy chief whip David Bahati (Ndorwa west), Henry Musasizi (Rubanda East) and Banyenzaki.

In Kabale, Chimp Corp Bob Abaho says Musasizi will head to Rukiga County which is represented by FDC’s Jack Sabiiti while David Bahati will cover Kabale municipality of Andrew Baryayanga (independent).

Shem Bageine’s drive will sweep through Ndorwa East.
