During the inaugural family hour on Thursday, Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi urged the staff of the Office of the Prime Minister to work hard towards fulfilling their mandate of coordinating the implementation of Government policies and programs across all sectors.
Mbabazi shook hands with all OPM staff and thanked them for working hard to positively impact on lives of many people amidst challenges.
He also thanked the OPM Permanent Secretary, Christine Guwatudde Kintu for introducing this new management style.
“OPM does the overall coordination and supervision but has not done enough because of structural hiccups, which we must overcome,” Mbabazi said adding that there is need for more linkages with key sectors and local governments.
The Minister for General duties in the Office of the Prime Minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere equated OPM to an anti-hill or bee hive where every member makes a contribution.
