Clever J was once a member of Leone Island before getting misunderstandings with his cousin brother Chameleone.

He consequently quit the group bringing a disaster to his music career.

After his downfall, Clever went to Sudan to try out his luck.

However, ChimpLyf recently bumped into the singer who told us that he is back in full swing.

“I have been out there creating new things for my fans,” he said.

He added: I’m back with many new songs like Gulimunda which will be released soon.”

On a more vital note, he is organising to battle Chameleone with his new band.

He accuses Chameleone of “stealing” his songs like Dorotia, Kipepewo, Mama Mamia that stamped his name on music charts in the region and worldwide.

“Those songs were mine. By that time, I didn’t have money to record them. That is why Chameleone stole them.”

Clever J is now “resurrecting” forgotten musicians like Red Banton, Emperor Orlando of Nakonkona and Rocky Giant to join his group and shine once more.
