“I have been out due to business commitments and other problems. After the Masaka and Zambia rallies next month, I will position myself well to fight for both ARC and NRC this year,” said Mangat.
He is the winner and 1st runner-up of the National and African Rally Championships, respectively.
Mangat has missed out on Ivory Coast and South Africa’s African Rally Championship events as well as the Mbarara and Jinja Rallies.
The ace is expected to use his old Subaru N12B for MPU Masaka challenge and Mitsubishi Evo X for the ARC event in Zambia, respectively.
His crew together with Gihan De Silver his navigator is on the verge of being crowned by Uganda Sports Press Association as Rally Drivers of the Year 2013 for the second time in row.
The function is slated for April 26, at Imperial Royale hotel in Kampala.
