Namayanja disclosed this while giving her lecture to Resident District Commissioners who are currently at National leadership institute in Kyankwanzi for a week induction retreat with their deputies.
She noted that government has got a lot of programmes and knowledge which would transform the standard of living but there is a need of media hand.
In her written speech, Namayanja challenged Resident District Commissioners and their deputies to emphasise understanding and attending the concerns of people under local government, to actively access information using the available media house and act according to the sensitivity of the matter.
She urged them to market the government programmes, act as a bridge between government and the general public so as to keep good reputation of government at the lower level.
The Minister noted that government can’t plan for the people very well without peoples’ concerns which must be delivered by RDCs.
Meanwhile, Resident District Commissioners and their deputies have since been under induction retreat in Kyankwanzi from April 6, which will come to a close today, Saturday.
