this sans-serif;”>The President made the challenge this week at State House, Entebbe where he met a delegation of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Sub-County Chairpersons and Councilors and other leaders from Buyaga County, Kibaale district.

“The NRM Government has ensured security, infrastructure development and wealth creation at the house hold level”, he said.

Regarding Kibaale district, the President told the delegation that Government has extended the Mubende – Kagadi power supply line to ensure power supply to the district.

He revealed that electricity had already been extended to the district headquarters. He, therefore, urged local leaders to work closely with the Minister of Energy to ensure that electricity is further extended to the grassroots level in the area.

Mr. Museveni said government would continue with its efforts to ensure sustainable household incomes.

He called on the leaders to put in more efforts in promoting the cultivation of tea and coffee.

The President expressed happiness to note that military officers have done a good job in the promotion of efforts for sustainable household income because they had distributed more coffee seedlings to the veterans compared to the work done by NAADS officials.

The President urged Kibaale district leaders to join hands with him to ensure the realization of good household incomes by wananchi. He commended the people of Buyaga for expanding the cultivation of tea and coffee.

He said that the Government would soon provide more road construction equipment to districts in the country to ensure improved road network nationally. He pledged government commitment to construct a technical institute for every constituency.

Kibaale district NRM Chairman Ali Mulumba saluted Mr. Museveni for fighting homosexuality in the country.
