“There are five stars on the new logo representing the five administrative structures of the federation including General Assembly, Executive Committees, Standing Committees, Judicial bodies and the secretariat whereas 1924 represents the year the federation was formed, “explained Magogo.
According to FUFA the new logo no longer has the Crested Crane, national colours- black, yellow, red and a ball.
“The logo is registered as a trademark therefore none can use it without permission from FUFA,” recounted Magogo.
The FUFA boss also unveiled three other logos including Uganda Cup, FUFA Big League and Inter- regions logos.
The FUFA technical committee chairperson, Mujib Kasule, used the occasion to announce that the federation will, before kickoff of the 2015 AFCON campaign in May, clear the air about the amount of money to be received by players in form of allowances and bonuses.
“It will not just be a dictation but rather negotiations and agreements with players and the federation on how much they will be getting,” Mujib stated.
Meanwhile, Cranes coach, Sredjovic Micho, is set to summon the national team on April 30, in a bid to start early preparations for the 2015 Morocco AFCON qualifiers.
