Kabale: Man Arrested For Defiling 4 Pupils

Kyarikunda is reported to have defiled the first two when they had gone to collect firewood from the bush where he chased them and ravaged them one after the other.


The third was trapped when she had been left alone at home.


He would threaten to kill them if they dared tell anybody until of recent when he raped a fourth girl who informed a teacher.


The teachers felt concerned, mobilised themselves and arrested him before handing him over to Muko Police Post.


He was thereafter transferred to Kabale Police Station for further interrogation.


Elly Matte, the Kigezi Police Spokesperson, confirmed the arrest and commended the teachers for their concern in the fight against crime.


In another development, the Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances under which a 43 year-old Kaunda was last evening killed at Kabanyonyi market Maziba sub county Kabale district.


The deceased, a resident of Keirungu village, is said to have left his wife in bed at around 4:00am of April 5, 2014 heading to an unknown place.


At around 7:00am, word went round that he had been killed at Kabanyonyi market after being allegedly suspected to had stolen matooke from therein.


Police was notified, visited the scene, his body was taken to Kabale referral hospital for post-mortem as inquiries continue to establish those behind the murder.
