After scrapping out defending champions Kitende, Standard was only a game away from the regional victory after ten years but was left in woes and wait till next year, after failure to shoot the eighth penalty.
Edward Kaziba, the Standard high Zzana coach, blamed the failure on referee Ronald Kirangwa, who “has not been on my side during the 90 minutes refereeing”.
Despite losing on finals, both teams (Standard and St Julian) will all represent Wakiso in the Copa Coca Cola Post Primary Championships together with other semi-finalists St Mary’s Kitende and Buddo ss.
St Julian will appear in the final tournament for the third time after bowing out last year in semi-finals on hands of Standard high.
The final tournament will be held in Gulu at St Joseph’s college Layibi starting April 26.
