Uganda Cup: Teams Brace For Quarterfinals

The FUFA Local Organising Committee of the Uganda cup has released the procedure of the quarterfinal draw to be held at FUFA House in Mengo starting at 10am on April 9, 2014.


Teams in Quarterfinals: Defending champions Sports Club University (SCVU), KCC FC, URA FC, BUL FC, Lweza FC, Jinja Municipal FC and Wandegeya FC.


Meanwhile, Hope Soana and Kampala University will play on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at Kyambogo to determine the final team that joins the quarterfinals.


Criteria for the draw


All the four FUFA Super League teams still left in the competition will be put in one pot but no special seeding for them.


The rest of the teams left in the competition will be placed in second pot.


The quarterfinal will be a one legged affair, extra time will be played if a game ends in a draw after normal time. Penalty shootouts will also be used if extra time fails to produce a winner.


The Semifinals draw will also be conducted on April 9, 2014 but to be played over two legs. Extra time will be played if a game ends in a draw after normal time.

Quarterfinals and semifinals will kick off at 3.30pm.
