While launching a campaign for 2016 allowing Ssekikubo to representative them once more, a group of voters in Lwemiyaga thanked the legislator for trying to develop the area amid greatest challenges ever.

The voters who are drawn from different sub counties expressed their disappointment with the decision taken by the NRM party to always expel legislators who stand up to injustices.

Joseph Mutatina, who headed the residents, said that as voters, they will not “tolerate attempts by the party to evict Ssekikubo from Parliament and if such happens again, we will not vote Museveni for the next term”.

He further said that the expulsion of the four vocal legislators is a clear sign that the party cares less about the interests of the electorates.

He insists that the party leadership should have first consulted voters in the respective constituencies of the affected MPs before taking any decision against them.
