Residents accuse Hon Mwesigye and Hon Lusaniya of totally forgetting about the electorates, something that has left them lagging behind in terms of development.

They accuse the MPs of shunning their functions likes parties and burial ceremonies which shows that they abandoned electorates.

While addressing a crowd at Kinoni Sub County as he monitored the progress of Rural Electrification Agency in the constituency, Hon Mwesigye is said to have ordered REA to disconnect some places because they did not have “many people or serious businesses”.

Yet ironically, he said that his visit, together with his colleague, was aimed at ironing out differences so as to develop Kiruhura district.

The Kiruhura seat has attracted a big number of 2016 contestants who vowed to dislodge Mwesigye and Lusaniya come what may.

Other contenders include; the Nyabushozi Senior Assistant Secretary, Michael Nyamuguri Kananura, the District Community Development Officer, Noora who is poised on unseating Lusaniya.

We are told the “fresh blood” are already campaigning against the incumbents day and night.

“That is why Mwesigye and Lusaniya never leave the constituency. After attending Parliamentary sessions, the two rush back to Kiruhura to safeguard their seats,” a source said.

Mwesigye told Chimpreports that he was not voted “to attend burial ceremonies in the area but to develop the district”.

“Nyabushozi now has water dams and that is my work. These young politicians are just tarnishing our images,” he pointed out.
